Homemade Almond Butter

Making an Almond Butter, you basically need 2 things – a high speed millet blender and patience lol. Well, of course the Almond.

Most people love Almond Butter! We could use it as spread to many kind of things or as fillings. From cooking to baking, Almond Butter could fit many dishes. You only need 3 ingredients and 1 step to make an Almond Butter. It’s so easy i recommend you to make it instead of buying it. Not to mention it is for sure a healthier version, less sugar, none artificials and way more cheaper when we could make it at home.

Let’s jump in!

Almond. I use roasted Almond Nut. You can use raw or roasted as you prefer

Maple Syrup. For the sweet, i use Maple Syrup, you can switch to honey if you’d like, Stevia, etc. Use it as you’d like, i put 2 tbs in about 1 cup of Almonds.

Salt. Almond Butter always need a pinch of salt. You can choose any salt from himalayan salt to any salt as we only need a pinch.

And like i said, it only requires 1 step. We only need to put everything into the blender and blend it until it’s creamy.

I am using a dry millet blender from my blender. And blend it. First thing you’ll see is the almond will turn to like crush nut texture, then a little bit to flour texture, keep blending and blending until it’s creamy and oily.

The more you blend nuts, the oils from the nut will come out and make it all creamy. You don’t even need to add any oils to it. At some point, when our blender is not high speed enough, it will stuck. But no worries, you can open and stir it, you can shake it a little bit, or press the button short for couple of times until it’s blending again.

But it is better to use a good food processor. It will blend perfectly until it’s creamy in 15-20 minutes. Store in a jar and put in the fridge for 1-2 months.
